Face Make-Up Dupes - Popular high end products at drugstore prices

Updated: Dec 8, 2020

Laura Mercier VS No7

Laura Mercier and No7 have both created a loose setting powder. Both products set makeup in place and leave the skin looking matte and airbrushed. Laura Mercier’s loose powder is very popular however it is on the pricey side with a retail price of £32.00. Many people would be hesitant to pay this amount of money for a loose powder and rightly so. I use both the Laura Mercier and No7 and can confirm they give the same result. No7 lose powder has a retail price of £11.00, it is much more affordable and accessible as it is sold in most drugstores (Boots). Both powders leave no flash back and ensure makeup stays on all day. No7 powder is cheaper than Laura Mercier therefore would be more ideal for everyday makeup looks, as you can comfortably afford to replace the powder once you have run out. Whereas the Laura Mercier powder being high end would be perfect for special occasion makeup looks such as prom or weddings where you don't mind spending the extra money.

Iconic London VS Revolution

Both liquid highlighters give the skin a lovely glow when applied. Perfect for a dewy makeup look and can also be used on collar bones and shoulders to make them simmer. The Revolution liquid highlighters retail price is £6.00, this is very affordable and is a fraction of the Iconic London highlighters price, which retails at £30.00. Iconic London highlighter is my favorite makeup product however if you don't want to £30, Revolution is a good alternative.

Nars VS Maybelline

Nars natural radiant Longwear foundation is lightweight and radiant. The Maybelline SuperStay is a great dupe leaving the skin with the same flawless finish while staying on all day (See my Foundation page for a full review on both the products). Retail price of the Nars foundation is £35. Maybelline SuperStay is £9.99, and you can purchase this in most drugstores such as Boots.
